St. Luke’s Neurosurgical Associates (SLNA)

BC/BE Neurosurgeon needed for a well‑established, hospital‑employed group of 10 neurosurgeons and 1 interventional neuroradiologist in the Lehigh Valley. Candidates must comfortably perform all aspects of general neurosurgery and will be on-call for general neurosurgery coverage. Fellowship training in General and Complex Spine is required.

Professional Responsibilities

• Provide on‑call general neurosurgery coverage, with primary call shared equitably (average 1 in 6) with group partners.
• Participate in inpatient neurosurgical care with significant support from trauma, medicine, and ICU services.
• Utilize block operating room time in fully equipped ORs.
• Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration with neurology, neuro‑oncology, physiatry, pain management, and other services.
• Contribute to the practice’s comprehensive stroke and cerebrovascular/endovascular call structure.
• Use electronic medical records (Epic) and home PACS access for office and inpatient care.
• Assist with OR and office workflows through an advanced practitioner team.
• Participate in teaching, research, quality improvement, and strategic development initiatives.

• Fellowship training in General Neurosurgery and Complex Spine.
• Proficiency in general neurosurgery procedures and readiness for a broad scope of practice.
• Commitment to shared primary and on‑call duties within the group.

• Network of 16 campuses with dedicated neurosurgical call covering the Neuroscience Hub (Level 1 Trauma, Comprehensive Stroke Center) and two Level 2 trauma centers.
• Comprehensive Stroke Center with separate cerebral‑vascular/endovascular call structure.
• Minimal pediatric neurosurgery cases; neonatal and pediatric cases are transferred.
• Electronic office and hospital medical records (Epic) with home access and PACS.
• Strong referral base from a network of PCP practices, ERs, neurology, spine & pain, oncology, ENT, and orthopedic spine surgeons.
• Advanced practitioner support in ORs, rounding, and office volumes.
• Vertical AP model with each neurosurgeon partnered with an advanced practitioner.
• Medical draw area of 1.1 million residents across 11 counties.
