Northwell Health Parkinson's and Movement Disorders Center

is Seeking Full-Time Physicians

The Department of Neurology ofNorthwell Health - Hofstra Zucker School of Medicine - in New Yorkis seeking BC/BE full-time clinical/academic faculty members with Movement Disorders fellowship training, to provide superb clinical care, participate in innovative care models, engage in collaborative research, lead progressive community programs, and contribute to the teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows. As the Movement Disorders program is rapidly expanding, we are looking for additional faculty members for our Lenox Hill Hospital - Manhattan Center, Westchester County Phelps Hospital, and for our uniquely integrated outpatient-inpatient-surgical program at Glen Cove Hospital in Long Island.

Northwell’s Parkinson's and Movement disorders program is among the largest in the Northeast, and provides comprehensive medical, rehabilitative, and surgical care in its primary academic locations and care centers. The surgical program includes an active deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) program and High-intensityfocused ultrasound(HIFU).

We have also established at Glen Cove Hospital in Long Island a unique, dedicated, and specialized 14-bed Parkinson's and movement disorders inpatient unit, which offers advanced rehabilitation services and medical and surgical optimization to patients with more advanced disease and is integrated with the DBS program for post-surgical programming combined with intense rehabilitation and medication optimization. The program has recently received Joint Commission certification, and it has affirmed itself as the leading inpatient program in the US.

The Department of Neurology has seen tremendous growth over the past five years across all regions, with the goal of providing comprehensive, integrated health care and wellness services.
