Job summary

Goode Company in Houston, TX is seeking a friendly Cashier to welcome guests, process orders, and handle payments with accuracy on a part-time schedule. You will support smooth counter service, maintain a clean register area, and coordinate handoffs with kitchen staff as needed.

The role requires reliable attendance, excellent communication, and comfort using a POS system. Previous cashier or food-service experience is preferred, with a Food Handler Certification beneficial.

Qualifications

• Customer-service, retail, restaurant, or cash-handling experience is preferred.
• Accuracy, warmth, clear communication, and comfort using a point-of-sale system.
• Ability to stay organized and composed through high-volume periods.
• Dependable attendance and a team-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, answer menu questions, and enter orders accurately.
• Process cash, card, gift card, and digital transactions according to control procedures.
• Confirm order details, communicate wait expectations, and coordinate handoff with production teams.
• Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized register and guest area.
• Resolve routine questions and involve a leader promptly when assistance is needed.
• Complete opening, closing, and assigned side work accurately.
