Job summary

Meyer’s Elgin Smokehouse is seeking a reliable BBQ Food Service Worker for our Elgin, TX location. You will greet guests, serve smoked meats and sides, and maintain a clean, welcoming dining room in a fast-paced team setting.

The role requires standing for long periods, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and flexibility to work weekends and holidays. Valid local food handler's card and TABC certification are required or obtainable upon hire.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service or customer service is a plus.
• Must have (or be willing to obtain) a valid local food handler's card and TABC certification.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, take orders, and answer questions about menu items.
• Portion, slice, and plate meats and sides according to standards.
• Set up stations, keep warmers and sauce bars stocked and clean.
• Clear tables, sweep and mop floors, and follow food safety guidelines.
• Handle cash and card transactions using the POS system.
