Stew Leonard’s Clifton, NJ store is seeking a BBQ Cook for a full-time, hourly role at $17.85–$19.00 per hour. You will prepare high-quality menu items by following recipes and standards, and assist in the rotisserie department to ensure efficiency and consistency.

The role requires 18+ years of age, a relevant educational background (High school diploma; Culinary Arts preferred), and strong customer service and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent with 1 to 3 years of experience.
• Current Culinary Arts student or graduate, preferred.
• Knowledge on food preparation.
• Safely use/operate rotisserie oven, fryers, kettle, knives, scales, and all other equipment required in the day-to-day operation of the rotisserie department.
• Excellent customer service.
• Good oral communication skills.

Full Time Hourly - $17.85 - $19.00 per hour

Job Summary

Cooks prepare the highest quality food items for retail by following established recipes, standards, and procedures.

Your day-to-day

• Inventory cases and prepare production list
• Follow recipes to prepare and reheat food items
• Rotate products on display
• Adhere to all health, sanitation, and safety regulations
• Assist in other duties, as assigned

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older

Working Conditions

• The temperature in the department can be warmer than room temperature due to the ovens, fryers and other equipment used in department production
• Exposure to smoke produced by grills and grease and oil from fryers may be possible
• The position requires frequent walking, standing, lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting, and reach is required with a maximum of 50lbs.
