PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Overland Park is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) to provide patient-centered care on the inpatient medical-surgical unit. You will follow directions from an RN, collect data, implement orders, and perform therapeutic procedures as applicable.

Holds an active LPN/LVN license in the state, with BLS certification required. IV certification may be required by state rules, and one year of inpatient experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Holds current LPN/LVN license in the practicing state.
• BLS certification required; AHA approved within 90 days of employment.
• Current IV Certification within 90 days if required by state regulations.
• One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care as directed by an RN on the unit.
• Gather and report data, carry out orders, and perform therapeutic procedures as age-appropriate.
• Follow PAM Health policies and procedures and guidelines.

Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN)

is responsible for providing appropriate nursing care, as directed by an RN on the nursing unit. Functions include gathering and reporting data, carrying out orders, and performing therapeutic procedures on patients in an age and population-appropriate manner, consistent with the policies, procedures, and guidelines of PAM Health. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Education and Training:

Holds current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates. Current BLS certification required. BLS certification must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment.

• Current IV Certification within 90 days of employment, if required per state regulations.

Experience:

One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required
