Job summary

MORSE Corp is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to apply Bayesian statistics and probabilistic modeling to national security AI challenges in Cambridge, MA.

You will collaborate with engineers to develop, test, and transition advanced algorithms into software and real-time systems, using Python, MATLAB, C, or C++ and clear stakeholder communication. This role requires 5+ years in data science and US citizenship with ability to obtain a security clearance.

Qualifications

• Masters or Ph.D in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Data Science or Analysis.
• Strong foundation in statistics, linear algebra, algorithms, and ML methods.
• Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, C, or C++.
• Experience handling large, multidimensional datasets and data processing.
• Good communication and self-motivation; defense experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform data analysis, test and evaluation of ML algorithms and develop advanced models for physical and autonomous systems.
• Develop probabilistic models to identify limitations and improve explainability of AI models.
• Collaborate with engineers to transition algorithms into software and real-time embedded systems.
• Support software integration using Python, MATLAB, C, or C++.
• Engage with customers and stakeholders to present concepts, analyses, and results.
• Outline paths forward and solutions for complex data problems.
• Research new methods from statistics to AI-powered analyses to characterize performance.
