Job summary

Ensemble Schools is seeking a fun, experienced, and professional Substitute Piano Instructor to teach part-time on an as-needed basis at multiple Bay Area schools. Subbing opportunities include New World Music Academy in Alamo, Dublin, and Pleasanton; Reeder Music Academy in Danville; and Melody Academy of Music with locations in Fremont, Cupertino, and Palo Alto.

Qualifications

• Ability to teach beginner to advanced students.
• Afternoon and evening availability; weekends are a plus.
• Available to teach in-person lessons.
• Strong music background evidenced by a degree in music performance, pedagogy, or equivalent performing experience.
• Reliable transportation and ability to pass a routine background check.

Responsibilities

• Teach piano to students of various levels on an as-needed basis.
• Maintain reliability and punctuality with students and staff.
• Help with rostered openings as main teaching opportunities arise.
