Job summary

Movement Voter Project is seeking a Philanthropic Advisor to prospect, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors giving $10,000+ annually in the San Francisco Bay Area. You will report to the Western Regional Philanthropic Director and work with MVP’s donor team to grow support for grassroots movements and power-building campaigns through personalized engagement.

Qualifications

• Major gifts experience of at least five years with $10,000+ gifts.
• Proven ability to manage a portfolio of major donors.
• Self-directed work style with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational and project-management skills.
• Experience handling donor databases and confidential information.
• Passion for social justice, progressive movements, and/or Democratic politics.
• Based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a portfolio of ~150 major gift donors and prospects.
• Create personalized engagement and stewardship plans.
• Conduct face-to-face donor meetings for cultivation and solicitation.
• Identify new potential donors and qualify prospects.
• Ensure accurate donor activity tracking with strict confidentiality.
• Collaborate with leadership on fundraising strategies.
• Organize donor events and mobilize networks for campaigns.
• Support cross-functional team initiatives to grow MVP's supporters.
