Job Description: Food & Beverage Manager at Bavarian Blast Waterpark

Full Time: 45 hours average workweek. Working shift between 7:00 a.m. - 1:00 a.m., with some overnights possible. Must work weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Assist with the overall functions within the waterpark by supporting FOH staff with ordering food, beverages, serving supplies, retail items, and cleaning products. Prepare records for analysis and reports. Ensure proper training and scheduling of all employees. Direct and document employee performance, conduct fair reviews and evaluations, and uphold all policies and procedures of the Bavarian Inn Lodge and Bavarian Blast. Set an example for others to follow, ensure quality services and products, and maintain the safety of guests and employees. Protect company assets, motivate employees, and experiment with new serving techniques or menu items to promote sales or reduce expenses. Coordinate special events in the waterpark and ensure cleanliness of Bavarian Blast, including preparation and storage areas. Set short-term and long-term goals, develop strategies, budgets, and business plans to promote the waterpark's welfare.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum two years of bartending and food service experience.
  • Food & Beverage Manager/Supervisor experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of beer, wines, and liquor from brewing or distillation to final service in a dining setting.
  • Ability to handle pressure situations in a controlled manner.
  • Food handling and sanitation knowledge.
  • Decisive, timely, organized, and creative.
  • Accounting skills including costing, pricing, and ordering techniques.
  • Good verbal, written communication, and reporting skills.
  • Ability to stand or walk for long periods (8-15 hours).
  • Lifting of moderate weights up to 75 pounds.
  • Managerial and training skills to motivate, train staff, and conduct evaluations and reprimands.
  • Ability to carry trays continuously.
  • Good math skills for handling money and calculating costs of goods.
  • Ability to use a computerized POS system.
