Job summary

Bauer Hockey/ Cascade Maverik Lacrosse is seeking a Category Coordinator to support the Category Management team by maintaining templates, collecting sales and market data, and assisting cross-functional teams through the product commercialization process.

You will communicate calendars, manage category tools, and act as a product expert at events while ensuring timely delivery of materials and samples. A bachelor’s degree with related experience is preferred.

The Category Coordinator is responsible to communicate business calendar milestones, maintain category tools and templates, collect and analyze sales, market, and competitive data, and support cross-functional teams throughout the product commercialization process to execute category objectives.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:

• Support the Category Management team by gathering and implementing consistent templates/tools by category.
• Manage & communicate with the team around key millstones within the Business calendar to drive stronger execution and on-time completion.
• Team data collection and reporting from GLP, SAP, Pivot Link, intranet maintenance of GLP and sell through tools.
• Assist in obtaining information on sales history, market share and competitors.
• Collect competitive assessments including line planning and pricing comparisons.
• Provide access to Visual line templates and key financial documentation.
• Streamline creative and commercialization process & requests from creative and channel functions.
• Gatekeeper of key business documents that require cross-functional input and documentation to ensure successful execution.
• Work as a product expert at events and responds to sales reps, retailer’s consumer e-mails & D2C questions.
• Responsible for organization and merchandising of materials, including ordering, managing inventory and timely delivery of all samples.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree with 1-3 years of experience in the consumer goods, wholesale industry (preferably apparel/footwear) or related field- or equivalent years of relevant and related experience.
• Must have knowledge of the hockey industry and a core understanding of the consumer.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate at all levels of organization.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Must have excellent information seeking skills.
• Highly organized, diligent, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Adjust quickly to changing priorities and business needs.
