Job description

  • Supervise Battlefield Effects personnel and ensure daily operational readiness.
  • Assist with hiring, training, certifications, and employee development.
  • Train personnel on pyrotechnic devices by PWS standards.
  • Dispatch fire missions, CAS missions, and obstacle coverage.
  • Oversee compliance with policies, procedures, customer satisfaction, and coordination with other branches.
  • Manage administrative tasks, including time charging, counseling, accident investigations, property accountability, and quality control.
  • Support safety initiatives and enforce operational discipline.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required: High school diploma, minimum three years’ managerial experience. Demonstrate subject matter expertise in JRTC Operations Group mission, JRTC rotational training exercise design; Experience in supervision of personnel under varied circumstances of indirect control in a 24-hour operation and excellent oral and written communication skills.

Desired: Minimum five years’ managerial experience as the lead of a military or civilian organization. Knowledge of military indirect fire assets. Experience supervising personnel in a 24-hour operational setting with indirect control. Strong oral and written communication skills.

Additional Requirements: Must be able to travel unaccompanied within the US and internationally. Must work irregular hours, including nights and weekends. Must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Must be physically capable of rapid movement over varied terrain (2km with a 20-pound pack in 20 minutes). Must read military maps and be proficient in RTO and telecommunications procedures. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. You must possess a valid Louisiana driver’s license (or equivalent). Must pass initial and random drug screenings.
