Job summary

Motive Energy Inc. is seeking a Shop Technician for a 6-month contract to handle general warehouse duties, basic battery testing, and order fulfillment. The role includes operating a sit-down forklift, maintaining safety standards, and preparing products for outbound shipping to customers and drivers.

Responsibilities include inspecting batteries, QA, organizing inventory, and supporting both warehouse and repair shop to meet deadlines. Prior forklift experience and a valid license are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent is required.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and internet.
• Forklift certification or willingness to train.

Responsibilities

• Receive and check in industrial batteries by inspecting and recording details.
• Change out damaged pallets as needed.
• Power wash, clean and neutralize batteries.
• Assist in testing: program charger, take readings, record results in Excel.
• Prepare products for shipment and perform QA inspections.
• Pull orders and coordinate with departments to meet deadlines.
• Organize warehouse space and maintain tools/equipment for safety.
• Operate sit-down forklift and use miscellaneous tools as needed.
