Job summary

Interstate Batteries seeks a Warehouse Team Member II to keep a well-stocked, organized warehouse and assist Route Service Managers. You may deliver batteries regularly and handle deposits, collections, and on-time Hot Shots.

You will load/unload, restock, charge, test, date, and wrap batteries while maintaining safety and accuracy in reporting. Responsibilities include operating forklifts/vehicles, complying with driver programs, and stepping in for NAC Delivery Specialist or RSM as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year warehouse experience preferred.
• Written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills
• Strong time management skills and able to work under pressure
• Knowledge of carrier operations, shipment routing, and distribution methods
• Knowledge of state, federal, and interstate commerce regulations
• Working knowledge of computers or ability to learn applicable systems
• Understanding of hazardous shipping laws and requirements
• Ability to operate motor vehicles and/or forklift
• Must have a clean drivers record AND meet driver qualifications requirements

Responsibilities

• Load and unload batteries
• Restock batteries
• Charge, clean, date and rewrap rotations
• Charge, test, clean, and date adjustment batteries
• Maintain a safe and clean warehouse environment
• Accurately maintain warehouse reporting and claims
• Operate a forklift and motor vehicle
• Run the Hot Shots on a timely basis as needed
• Fill in for NAC Delivery Specialist or RSM, as needed
• Collect and handle payments on account
• Collect and return junk and/or used batteries to the warehouse
• Follow / fulfill all driver program requirements, as specified by the manager
• Other duties as requested
