Job summary

Toyota Material Handling Systems is seeking a Battery Utility Tech to support the battery shop and warehouse operations. You will assist Battery Technicians, prep batteries and equipment for service, and help with shipping/receiving and general warehouse tasks.

Responsibilities include tagging inventory, staging for service, keeping the warehouse clean, and following safety guidelines and company policies. High school diploma required.

Qualifications

• Some type of mechanical experience or training.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person, in writing and via telephone.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload batteries and equipment on and off delivery trucks.
• Perform shipping and receiving functions at dock.
• Stage and prep batteries and equipment for service technicians.
• Make sure all items such as batteries and chargers in warehouse and shop are properly tagged.
• Make sure equipment, shop inventory supplies, tools and materials are put away properly.
• Keep warehouse floors clean.
• Empty trash receptacles daily or as needed.
• Assist technicians with minor repairs, maintenance, and testing.
• Deliver and receive parts and/or batteries when needed.
• Perform miscellaneous jobs as needed; ensure everything is secured at the end of every day.
• Learn 5S / 6S skills and maintain them in the shop.
