Job summary

The Parts Authority in Glendale, AZ is seeking an experienced Battery Truck Driver to join our expanding team. You will deliver batteries to auto shops and dealers on your assigned route, ensuring high-quality service.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, plus driving experience and strong communication skills. A Class A or B CDL may be required depending on the equipment. We offer comprehensive benefits and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience driving and customer service preferred.
• Experience selling batteries to auto shops, fleets, municipalities and dealerships.
• Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
• HS diploma or GED required.
• CDL Class A or B may be necessary depending on equipment.
• Basic math skills (reading, writing, computation).
• Lift/move up to 50 lbs (75 lbs for Auto Body routes).
• DOT Medical Card required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver batteries on your assigned route with top-notch dealer service.
• Adhere to Environmental Health and Safety regulations.
• Build positive dealer relationships.
• Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
• Maintain route integrity and update dealer lists.
• Invoice for units not meeting warranty periods.
• Rotate batteries to maintain quality standards.
• Handle cash, checks, and money orders as needed.
• Collect and return used batteries.
• Safely load and unload trucks and promote workplace safety.
• Secure and transfer cash or assets as required.

Responsibilities

• Timely battery delivery and providing top-notch service to each dealer on your assigned route
• Adhering to Environmental Health and Safety regulations and policies
• Cultivating and nurturing positive relationships with dealers
• Ensuring timely and accurate completion of all required documentation
• Maintaining route integrity, keeping displays clean, and updating the dealer list
• Invoicing for units that do not meet warranty period requirements
• Rotating batteries to maintain the highest quality standards
• Handling various forms of payment, including cash, checks, and money orders
• Collecting and returning used batteries
• Safely loading and unloading trucks
• Maintain and promote workplace safety
• Securing and transferring cash or other assets.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in driving and customer service (preferred)
• Prior experience selling batteries to local auto shops, fleets, municipalities, and dealerships
• Exceptional communication and customer service skills
• A high school diploma or GED equivalent
• Depending on the equipment you operate, a Class A or B Commercial Drivers License may be necessary
• Basic math skills, encompassing reading, writing, and computation
• Ability to lift, move, push and pull up to 50 pounds, prolonged sitting. (Auto Body Parts Collision Drivers must be able to lift 75 lbs )
• DOT Medical Card required
