Job summary
Harbinger is seeking a battery test engineer to validate the APS product. You will write procedures, develop test software, and build test stations to define the limits of our battery pack. Collaborate with design, quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure robust testing before production.
You will automate tests with LabVIEW/CANalyzer, document results, and help advance BMS software while prioritizing safety and lab organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering.
- Hands-on lab experience required; comfortable around high voltage and using hand tools.
- Experience with instrumentation (thermocouples, pressure transducers, shunts, oscilloscopes) and data collection.
- Knowledge of batteries (AC/DC fundamentals) and power conversion.
- Experience with Python or Matlab for data analysis.
- Strong technical writing skills for test reports.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with battery test, design, quality, and manufacturing engineers to validate battery/systems.
- Develop test software and automate test cases using LabVIEW and CANalyzer.
- Contribute to BMS software development and provide data to support design changes.
- Specify DVQ procedures, instrumentation, data acquisition, and data processing.
- Author and document test cases and results; ensure safety and lab organization.
