Job summary

Archer is an aerospace company in San Jose, California, seeking a Battery Test Technician to help build and test battery packs, cells, and related components for BMS development and testing programs.

You will assemble fixtures, monitor test data, prepare samples, and support SOP-driven validation activities, contributing to high-volt battery testing for advanced projects. HS diploma required; associate degree preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in cell or battery testing within an engineering or manufacturing industry.
• Hands-on experience with cell test/data monitoring, battery module and/or pack test/data monitoring.
• Hands-on experience building fixtures and procuring parts.
• Hands-on experience preparing samples for test.
• Experience successfully conducting tests according to SOPs and Test Plans.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills.
• HS Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Assemble battery packs, cells, and components for BMS, design and test.
• Assist with end-of-life battery equipment builds.
• Assist mechanical builds for advanced project testing.
• Assemble securing hardware and harnesses for test equipment.
• Create test fixtures for cells, buck converters, and packs.
• Assemble small-scale buck and prototype builds.
• Support charging of battery packs.

What You’ll Do

• Execute Battery pack, cell buck, and other components builds for Battery BMS, Design, Test


• Support Battery EOL equipment build


• Support Battery Mechanical build for Advanced Projects testing


• Build securing hardware/harnesses for connection with test equipment and test assets


• Build test fixtures to be used with cells, bucks, and packs


• Build small scale buck and prototype builds


• Support Battery pack charging

What You Need:

• 2+ years of experience in cell or battery testing within an engineering or manufacturing industry


• Hands-on experience with cell test/data monitoring, battery module and/or pack test/data monitoring
