The MC Dean Critical Power department provides our customers with safe and effective maintenance and installation of UPS, battery, and other critical power equipment. This position requires an individual who is keen on learning new applications and capable of critical thinking, customer service, and problem solving as well as working independently after receiving adequate training.

Responsibilities
  • Learn and understand topics including critical power and battery systems, LOTO, safety, and troubleshooting.
  • Installing battery systems, taking electrical readings, and testing continuity of circuits using appropriate equipment.
  • Diagnosing malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
  • Generate tickets to ensure equipment maintenance and repair is completed in accordance with OEM standards.
  • Travel up to 75% of the time.
Qualifications
  • This position requires a High School Diploma or GED with 4+ years of experience.
  • This position may require ongoing or intermittent use of a company vehicle. Selected candidates must possess an acceptable driving record in accordance to our policy.

  • Experience with a Microsoft Windows environment.
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and workload.
  • Strong Oral and Written Skills.
  • Demonstrated time management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives.
  • Good working knowledge using smart devices (smart phones, tablets, etc.) and comfortable using multiple web-based applications.
  • Commitment to excellence and producing high-quality work.
  • Reliable attendance, teamwork, and safety compliance.
Desired Qualifications
  • Familiarity with customer service and satisfaction.
  • NFPA 70e (current version).
  • OSHA 10/30 certification.
  • Battery OEM certification.

Abilities
  • Physical ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds regularly, following safety protocols.
  • Ability to work at heights up to 60 feet, climb ladders, scaffolds, and aerial lifts.
  • Routine physical activities including walking, climbing, lifting, and reaching.
  • Good vision (corrected if necessary), color vision, hearing, and communication skills in English.
  • Recognition of system problems and applying general rules to specific issues.
  • Close-range vision and auditory comprehension.
Pay Range

USD $22.05 - USD $26.95 /Yr.
