Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Mossville, IL is seeking a Manager of Battery Systems Validation & Performance to lead the Battery Performance and Validation organization.

You will ensure battery systems meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements throughout the product lifecycle. You will direct validation strategy, coordinate with engineering, product, compliance, and suppliers, and mentor engineers in verification, data analytics, and systems engineering best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Extensive experience with decision-making processes and tools; informed judgment.
• Strong communication skills across diverse teams.
• Experience leading people and managing performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead battery system performance, verification, and validation strategy across Caterpillar battery products.
• Develop validation plans, test strategies, and acceptance criteria with traceability from requirements to final acceptance.
• Oversee validation execution with internal/external facilities and partners for NTI and NPI programs.
• Drive validation process improvements, data management, and reporting to shorten test cycle times.
• Mentor engineers in systems engineering, validation methodologies, and data analytics.
