Vertiv Corporation is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to support the design, development, testing, and validation of lithium-ion battery energy storage systems used in critical power applications. You will work with cross-functional teams to gain hands-on experience in cabinet design, thermal management, structural analysis, and prototype development.

Formación

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Sophomore standing preferred.
• Basic understanding of mechanical design principles.
• Experience with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, or similar).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in design and development of battery cabinets, mechanical assemblies, and components for energy storage products.
• Create and modify 3D CAD models, assembly drawings, and engineering documents.
• Support prototype builds and validation testing activities.
• Perform thermal, structural, and vibration analyses of battery systems.
• Participate in design reviews and document action items and recommendations.
• Support supplier and manufacturing collaboration for qualification and design improvements.
• Assist sustaining engineering activities and evaluate alternate materials.
