Job summary

KULR Technology Corporation in Webster, TX is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II to join our Advanced Programs team. You will design battery packs and modules, create and modify CAD drawings, conduct testing and analysis, and collaborate cross-functionally to meet customer needs.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and 2–4 years of related experience, plus experience with CAD tools such as AutoCAD, CREO or SolidWorks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field, required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2–4 years of related experience.
  • Science, technology or math background preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Designs, develops, prototypes, and tests all mechanical components, equipment, and machinery. Develops specifications for new parts or prototypes.
  • Create and/or modify existing CAD Drawings using CAD software and modeling tools.
  • Create and/or modify mechanical processes and communicate critical features to our manufacturing team.
  • Conducts in depth analysis and tests to determine weaknesses and failures in prototypes or products.
  • Develop and facilitate performance-based test procedures for materials, components and assembled systems.
  • Aid in assembly of KULR products for customers.
  • Operate 3-D printer(s) for prototyping purposes and CNC(s) for prototyping.
  • Cross-training as needed in additional areas to meet organizational business needs.
  • Reviews and signs mechanical engineering drawings/prints; attends design reviews.
  • Conducts analysis and tests to determine weaknesses and failures in prototypes or products.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.
