Job summary

Cirba Solutions is seeking a Battery Sorter in Wixom, MI to identify and sort batteries by chemistry/type, tape terminals, and pack batteries using bags and boxes. The role emphasizes safety, requires frequent lifting, and involves standing most of the shift; forklift experience is a plus.

Job duties include following safety procedures, labeling drums, weighing and documenting material, and keeping work areas clean. Shifts are 4-10s with occasional OT and a 3-day weekend rhythm.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic math skills are required.
• Strong teamwork and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensures health and safety is the number one goal by following warehouse safety procedures and processes.
• Identify and sort batteries by chemistry.
• Taping terminals/ends of batteries.
• Sort out debris and non-conforming material.
• Store batteries and non-conforming material in drums.
• Label drums according to regulations and guidelines.
• Weigh and document material.
• General cleaning.
• Comply with all environmental, health and safety regulations.
• Sit or stand for most of the shift.
• Some locations may require operating a forklift to transfer material.
• All other duties as assigned.

Role Overview

As a Battery Sorter, you will properly identify, and sort batteries based on the chemistry/type.

You will tape the terminals of the batteries and pack batteries using bags and boxes.
