Job description

Blue Chip Talent, in partnership with a cutting-edge EV organization, is seeking a skilled Battery Simulation Engineer. This role is responsible for executing detailed propulsion system simulations for battery packs and identifying actionable insights to support design and testing decisions. The engineer will also manage simulation workloads and ensure seamless program continuity.

Job Duties

• Conduct propulsion system simulations for battery packs, including discharge, durability, and charging behavior
• Track simulation results and define next-step actions to support testing and design decisions
• Manage and prioritize simulation workload for long-term program support
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate simulation results into engineering activities
• Document simulation parameters, results, and action plans with precision
• Enhance simulation workflows to improve modeling accuracy and efficiency
• Ensure alignment of simulations with engineering standards and project timelines

Skills & Experience

Required

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering, or related field
• 2+ years of experience in battery, EV propulsion, or energy storage system simulation
• Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink, Python, or equivalent simulation tools
• Strong analytical capabilities for interpreting technical simulation data
• Experience documenting engineering processes and collaborating across teams
• Experience with battery pack modeling or EV propulsion systems
• Familiarity with coordinating simulations across multiple programs
• Understanding of battery cell, module, and pack electrical and thermal behavior
• Experience developing simulation workflows for DCFC, discharge, or durability scenarios
• Background in supporting team handovers and technical knowledge transfer
