Shoppa's Material Handling in Fort Worth, Texas is seeking a Battery Shop Technician to inspect, diagnose, repair, and install customer batteries and chargers. Candidates need to be safety conscious and represent the company with professionalism and excellent customer service.
The role involves monitoring inventory, maintaining battery records, and building relationships with customers and suppliers. A minimum of 1 year experience in the battery industry and a high school diploma or equivalent are required.
The primary function of the Battery Shop Technician is to inspect, diagnose, repair and install customer’s batteries and chargers in fleet and various material handling equipment. Battery Shop Technician must be safety conscious to avoid being injured by acid, fumes, or electric shock, and must understand the risk of chemical explosions. Responsible for inspecting to verify that the battery or charger is up to safety standards and will represent Shoppa’s Material Handling with professionalism, great attitude, good communication skills and world class customer service.
Sitting, standing, and walking (up to continuously); frequent use of computer and telephone requiring repetitive finger, hand, and arm movement; occasionally carry office supplies and other miscellaneous items up to 50 pounds. Continuous use of seeing, hearing, verbal communication.
Work indoors and outdoors; exposure to temperatures commensurate with outdoor seasonal temperatures.
