Job summary

Imperia Batteries, a division of Physical Sciences Inc., is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our battery technology team in Methuen, Massachusetts. You will contribute to research, design, development, and testing of next-generation Li-ion battery technologies for energy storage applications.

You will lead design of mechanical layouts, participate in thermal management, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team from concept through validation, while supporting customer-funded programs

Qualifications

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field; 3+ years in the battery field.
  • Proficient with CAD programs such as SolidWorks.
  • Background in experimental design, data collection and analysis.
  • Excellent English written and oral communication.
  • Leadership experience in technical programs preferred.

  • Prepare proposals, program reports and review presentations.
  • Design and develop battery and battery pack/module mechanical layout.

  • Produce drawings, fabrication packages, assembly and test procedures and other documentation related to mechanical design.

Job description

Imperia Batteries, a division of Physical Sciences Inc. (PSI) located in Methuen, Massachusetts, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our growing battery technology team. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the research, design, development, and testing of next-generation lithium-ion battery technologies for advanced energy storage applications. The successful candidate will work alongside a multidisciplinary team to develop innovative battery solutions from concept through validation while supporting customer-funded research and development programs.

Responsibilities

U.S. Citizenship is required.

Pay Range: The estimated annual base salary range for this role is $85K – $98K. The actual salary offered will depend on the candidate’s experience, education, and specialized skills.
