Job summary

Schaeffler Battery Technology, LLC is seeking a skilled technician to lead rework activities on battery assemblies from the production line. You will develop and optimize rework processes, troubleshoot failures, and validate equipment to ensure quality and cost targets are met.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate's Degree or high school diploma with 5+ years' experience, a Journeyman Card, and proven leadership.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or high school diploma with at least 5 years of proven experience.
• Journeyman Card.
• Strong leadership and excellent written & verbal communication.
• Extremely self-motivated and driven to achieve results.
• Assertive approach to solving problems.
• Ability to prioritize and make decisions.
• Ability to lift medium-heavy objects if required.
• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead rework activities for rejected battery assemblies and decide reintroduction or scrapping.
• Develop, implement, and optimize battery assembly rework processes.
• Troubleshoot and validate root cause analysis of failures.
• Improve production technologies to prevent re-occuring failures in terms of quality, cost and robustness.
• Validate machines, tools and processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies into existing production systems.
• Support production departments with hand-overs and training.
