Job summary

Tata Technologies Irvine is seeking an engineer to build and support battery pack CAE models across structural safety, durability, and NVH domains. You will assemble, debug, and deliver CAE models integrated with BIW, following purchaser standards for mesh, joining, and mass targets.

The role requires proficiency in LS-DYNA, OptiStruct, and Abaqus, with a focus on model validation, BOM massing, and DS/DFR checks. Expect collaboration across teams and rigorous documentation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building vehicle CAE models with battery pack focus preferred.
• Proficiency in LS-DYNA, OptiStruct, and Abaqus for model assembly and debugging.
• Strong capability in mesh quality, BOM massing/NSM, and joint modeling.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain battery pack CAE models for major builds.
• Implement joining representations (weld/bond/bolt) and mass management.
• Deliver error-free LS-DYNA and other model checks with instrumentation.
• Ensure BIW integration and subsystem connections across domains.
• Provide deliverables per Purchaser model checklist and reporting requirements.
