Qualifications

  • Knowledge of electrochemistry and battery materials; ability to fabricate and test battery cells.
  • Familiarity with chemo‑mechanics and coupled electrochemical–mechanical phenomena; design and execute experiments.
  • Experience with data analysis, modeling, and possibly AI methods for energy storage research.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the ARPA‑E project collaborating with Saint‑Gobain on battery lifetime extension.
  • Develop new technologies for lithium extraction and direct recycling of battery electrodes.
  • Write proposals with the PI for NSF, DOE, and other funding agencies.
  • Act as lab manager covering safety and training of students in battery manufacturing skills.
  • Document findings via publications, reports, and presentations.
