Job summary

Mitra Chem is seeking an Engineer to support materials synthesis, characterization, and battery testing as we scale from lab to manufacturing. You will work with senior process engineers and cross-functional teams to run experiments, analyze results, and support production trials.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a technical field, hands-on lab or pilot-scale experience, and strong data documentation skills. Travel internationally up to 10% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Chemical Eng, Materials Science, Chemistry).
• Hands-on experience in lab, pilot-scale, or manufacturing environments.
• Experience with analytical characterization techniques and data handling.
• Ability to document procedures and results clearly.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 10%.
• Strong organizational skills in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Synthesize materials using mills, spray dryers, and furnaces; assist maintenance.
• Characterize materials with XRD, SEM, and surface area analysis.
• Fabricate electrodes and assemble batteries to evaluate performance.
• Maintain experimental records in LIMS and perform data analysis.
• Contribute to technical documentation, SOPs and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with engineers and operators to support production trials at sites.
