Overview

Forge Nano Inc. is a fast‑growing advanced material engineering company focused on producing nano‑scale coatings for markets such as Li‑Ion Batteries. We are seeking a Battery Manufacturing Technician to support our Battery Prototype Manufacturing Team and manage day‑to‑day operations on our Battery Prototyping Line.

Work Environment

The role is based in a clean‑room/dry‑room environment on the battery prototyping line. Employees must wear appropriate protective equipment including eye protection, gloves, steel‑toe shoes, clean‑room suits, and respirators. All corporate and plant policies, including COVID‑19 safety protocols, must be strictly followed.

Responsibilities

• Execute step‑by‑step processes for lithium‑ion battery manufacturing.
• Operate related equipment and machinery.
• Perform quality control and testing activities.
• Maintain equipment through routine maintenance.
• Participate in root‑cause analysis, troubleshooting, process improvement, and safety initiatives.
• Prepare weekly progress reports with findings and improvement suggestions.
• Document process data, SOPs, and quality control results.
• Keep the work area clean and safe.

Required Experience and Qualifications

• Associate degree in Manufacturing Technology, Engineering Technology, Process Technology, Industrial Technology, or a high school diploma with 1‑2 years of manufacturing experience.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues efficiently.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

• Experience with semi‑automated manufacturing equipment.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience with chemical handling and mixing operations.
• Hands‑on experience with various manufacturing equipment, preferably in the battery industry.
• Knowledge of industrial safety, clean‑room, and dry‑room practices.

Physical Demands

The position requires standing, walking, using hands for finger, reach, and handling objects near moving mechanical parts. Moderate noise levels may be present. Employees must be able to maintain hearing and speech requirements and adapt to the physical demands with reasonable accommodation.

Travel

Occasional travel to vendor locations may be necessary.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $40,000–$55,000 DOE.
