Job summary
Inventus Power Illinois LLC is seeking a Controls Software Engineer II to contribute to the development, integration, validation, and support of Battery Management System software for xEV and advanced battery applications. You will work with hardware, systems, validation, and customer engineering teams to deliver reliable BMS features.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering.
- 2–5 years embedded software or BMS experience.
- C/C++ for embedded systems.
- Experience with software design, debugging, and testing.
- Knowledge of battery management systems and Li-ion batteries.
- Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Participate in requirements definition, software design, implementation, and testing for BMS software and controls functions.
- Develop, implement, and maintain battery control algorithms (SOC, SOH, SOP) and charging control.
- Support calibration, tuning, and optimization of battery algorithms.
- Collaborate with systems, hardware, and validation engineers for integration.
- Develop and execute software verification and validation plans (unit, integration, HIL).
- Analyze test data to identify issues and drive improvement.
