Job summary

Trojan Battery Company is seeking a mid-level Balancer to balance groups from the Tiegel machine by hand and with hand tools as needed. You will place small parts in Tiegel tooling and assist with set-ups and change overs to ensure evenly spaced separators across all plates.

The role requires basic English and math skills, 3-4 years of manufacturing experience, and familiarity with Microsoft Office. Emphasis on quality, safety, and Lean housekeeping is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or greater required.
• 3-4 years manufacturing/plant experience with a strong and consistent work history.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft programs.
• Basic English proficiency to interpret work and apply safety instructions.
• Basic math proficiency (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).

Responsibilities

• Balance groups and place small parts in Tiegel tooling.
• Assist with set-ups and change overs and balance groups with separators evenly spaced to cover all plates.
• Comply with all safety requirements and proper use of PPE.
• Inspect and identify quality issues and perform minor adjustments to maintain output.
• Notify supervisor of more complex problems and maintain housekeeping and Lean activities.
