Qualifications

• High School Diploma or greater.
• 2-3 years manufacturing/plant experience with a strong work history.
• Basic English proficiency to interpret work and safety instructions.
• Basic math proficiency (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
• Must be clean shaven.

Responsibilities

• On/Off Bear batteries from production line.
• Understand and practice the Quality policy.
• Use hand tools and learn specific machine controls, gauges, etc.
• Work in a lead acid battery manufacturing plant.
• Capable of working in extreme temperatures and heavy environment is a plus.
• Strong team skills.
• Solve problems and recommend solutions.
• All employees must follow strict hygiene rules including mandatory showering and lunch periods on site.
• Lift 50-80 lbs. and stand for long periods of time.
• Remove caps and perform visual check to ensure that batteries are facing correctly when transmitting through the conveyor.
• Correctly apply proper vent caps, ensuring a tight seal, and apply labels to batteries.
• Level II responsibilities: proper disposition of defective batteries to MRB; HRD testing; set up of automatic equipment; QA reports; production and QA compliance.
• Level III responsibilities: operate all equipment; PM and troubleshoot; read meters; document and troubleshoot defects; prepare daily production reports.
