Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or related field with 2+ years of experience.
  • Experience in logistics or administrative roles preferred.
  • Knowledge of EVs, batteries, and spare parts interactions a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and executing HV battery receiving steps to prepare material for repair.
  • Own parts planning, spare parts inventory ordering, and inventory management for the repair line.
  • Perform neutralization checks, pack traceability, and material preparation for repairability.
  • Oversee storage and warehousing of HV battery stock across BEV, PHEV, and 48V variants.
  • Assist with maintenance charging processes for battery inventory in the US market.
  • Collaborate with BC Manager, Method Engineer, and global teams to improve processes.
  • Support development of process gaps for battery repairs and material handling.
  • Coordinate with Battery Centers within US VCSB and other teams as needed.

Battery Center Logistics Technician
Let's introduce ourselves

We are looking for a Logistics specialist to support operational actions in support of the Dallas Battery Center operations. This role will be trained to support and handle electric/high voltage batteries, to ensure alignment and preparations for repair and production within the US BC. This role will reside in the Americas market and will take on ownership of the logistics process & procedures for the US BC and Battery Storage space. This position will require on-site support to the facility in Dallas, TX & will report to the Head of US Battery Lifecycles Services Team.

What you'll do

Job Responsibilities:

  • Developing and executing all HV battery receiving steps to prepare material for repair process within the BC.
  • Ownership of all parts planning, spare parts inventory ordering, and inventory management of material needed for the repair line. Direct interactions with the BC Manager to ensure the team has all spare parts needed to keep the repair line moving.
  • Handling initial neutralization checks, pack traceability actions, and preparation of material for repairability. Consolidation of material, based on condition, for repair, recycling, or salvage.
  • Oversight of the storage and warehousing space containing all HV battery stock – Inclusive of all new packs, remanufactured packs, core materials for all variants (BEV, PHEV, 48V).
  • Assisting with the development of maintenance charging processes for battery inventory within the US market, not limited to Dallas Battery storage spaces.
  • Continually strive to improve the US BC processes with the BC Manager, Method Engineer & global team to drive more efficient results.
  • Provide support in developing process gaps for battery repairs, neutralization, handling of battery materials to support the Battery Center and the retailer network.
  • Collaborate in cross-functional teams with Battery Centers within US VCSB.
  • You will manage your working time according to the project timeline, actively involved gathering information from other teams & collaborate.
  • Conduct further analysis when collaboration is needed with CMQ/R&D.
What you'll bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering (or related field) with 2+ years proven equivalent work experience.
  • 1+ years of experience in a logistics or administrative position – Experience as warehouse employee, manufacturing employee, or administrative lead preferred.
  • General knowledge of electric vehicles and an ability to interact with our technical team regarding spare parts, batteries, and related material.
  • Strong background in process and procedure development and improvements.
  • Advanced Microsoft Teams, Excel, and PowerBI skills.
  • Occasional travel domestically, as needed, at approximately 5%.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written presentation, and communication skills.
  • An ability to work with complex topics and steer discussion at the appropriate level of detail.
  • It would be beneficial to have the experience working with projects, related to high voltage vehicles/batteries.
  • Ability to drive change and influence people & synthesize complex topics into easy-to-understand terms.
