Qualifications

• Experience in material characterization techniques including rheology, EIS, SEM/EDS, DSC/TGA, and particle size analysis is a plus.
• Comfort with safe handling of hazardous materials and equipment is required.
• Foundation in statistical design (DOE) with relevant software experience.
• Knowledge of Li-ion battery cell operation, performance, and failure modes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute planned experimentation in the lab and on pilot production equipment under supervision.
• Support cell design & process development with focus on polymer characterization and optimization.
• Utilize analytical instruments such as DSC, Rheometers, DMA, and FTIR.
• Run mechanical testing such as peel adhesion and mandrel bend.
• Communicate results and make recommendations for future experimentation or formulation improvements.
