Job summary

Crown Equipment Corporation, a leading lift truck manufacturer, is seeking knowledgeable customer focused auto, diesel, aircraft, or forklift technicians to join the Crown team in Chicago. You will troubleshoot, diagnose and repair industrial batteries and chargers, perform planned maintenance, maintain a service van and inventory, and manage job paperwork.

Minimum qualifications include less than 2 years related experience and a high school diploma; preferred candidates have battery/charger

Job Duties

Minimum Qualifications

• Less than 2 years related experience
• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical degree, previous battery and charger repair experience, welding skills, and knowledge of various types of testing equipment preferred
• Good mechanical and electrical aptitudes, knowledge of electrical/electronic systems, ability to read and understand electrical schematics, good written/verbal communication skills, and good customer care skills

Compensation and Benefits:

Crown offers an excellent wage and benefits package for full-time employees. Current benefits being offered include:

• Competitive wages. The anticipated starting pay range for the position is $23 to $28 per hour; however, skills and related experience will be taken into consideration.
