Job summary

Crown Equipment Corporation, a global leader in material handling, seeks knowledgeable field service technicians to join its Indianapolis-area team. You will troubleshoot, diagnose and repair industrial batteries and chargers, maintain a service van and its inventory, and handle paperwork after each job.

The role favors candidates with a technical background, strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, and the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

Minimum: less than 2 years related experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred: technical degree and battery/charger repair experience.
Preferred: welding skills and familiarity with testing equipment.
Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude; able to read electrical schematics.
Good written and verbal communication and strong customer service.

We are seeking knowledgeable customer focused auto, diesel, aircraft, or forklift technicians to join the Crown team.

Job Duties

Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair industrial batteries and chargers.
Perform all assigned planned maintenance on customer industrial batteries and chargers.
Maintain a service van and its inventory.
Process paperwork after completion of each job.

Minimum Qualifications

Less than 2 years related experience
High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

Technical degree, previous battery and charger repair experience, welding skills, and knowledge of various types of testing equipment preferred
Good mechanical and electrical aptitudes, knowledge of electrical/electronic systems, ability to read and understand electrical schematics, good written/verbal communication skills, and good customer care skills
