Responsibilities/Qualifications

As a Bather/Student Groomer (Groom Tech) at Pet Supplies Plus, you will:

• Encourage pets to participate in grooming activities and celebrate their progress
• Attend our free, paid training through the renowned Paragon School of Pet Grooming if interested in becoming a groomer
• Learn to use grooming tools and equipment
• Learn how to bathe and style dogs to breed standards
• Receive a free toolkit worth over $600 upon hire when enrolling in the Paragon school

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing grooming services such as brushing, bathing, and nail trimming
• Learning and demonstrating skills necessary to become a groomer through the online program
• Ensuring the safety and wellness of pets
• Building relationships with pet owners and recommending suitable products and services
• Maintaining a clean and inviting grooming environment
• Completing safety training certification
• Assisting team members during grooming downtime

Ideal candidates will have:

• Experience working with pets (not required)
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, bend, or stoop for extended periods
• Ability to review online videos and tests
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Must pass drug screening and a selection test, and be at least 18 years old
