Responsibilities/Qualifications

As a Bather/Student Groomer (Groom Tech) at Pet Supplies Plus, you’re passionate about people and their pets. Your responsibilities include:

• Encouraging pets to participate in grooming activities and celebrating their progress
• Attending free, paid training through the renowned Paragon School of Pet Grooming if aspiring to become a Groomer
• Getting comfortable with grooming tools and equipment
• Learning to bathe and style dogs to breed standards
• Receiving a free tool kit worth over $600 upon hire if enrolling in the Paragon school

Engage with neighbors and their pets with a smile. Your key responsibilities as a Groom Tech include:

• Providing grooming services like brushing, bathing, and nail trimming
• Learning and demonstrating skills necessary to become a groomer through online programs
• Ensuring the safety and wellness of pets
• Building relationships with neighbors by understanding their needs and recommending products/services
• Maintaining a clean grooming environment
• Completing safety training certification
• Assisting during grooming downtime

Ideal Groom Tech candidates will have:

• Experience with pets in retail or other industries (not required)
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, bend, or stoop for extended periods
• Ability to review videos and take online tests
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Must pass drug screening and validation tests, and be at least 18 years old
