Splish, splash FIDO needs a bath. Are you up for wet wagging tails and flying suds? Are you interested in learning to become a Groomer? Join our team and attend our free Paragon School of Pet Grooming!

Responsibilities and Qualifications

As a Bather/Student Groomer (Groom Tech) at Pet Supplies Plus, you are passionate about people and their pets. Your responsibilities include:

• Encouraging pets to participate in grooming activities and celebrating their progress.
• Attending our free, paid training at the renowned Paragon School of Pet Grooming if aspiring to become a professional groomer.
• Getting familiar with grooming tools and equipment.
• Learning to bathe and style dogs according to breed standards.
• Receiving a free toolkit valued at over $600 upon hiring and enrollment in the grooming training.

You will also:

• Delight neighbors and pets with grooming services such as brushing, bathing, and nail trimming.
• Learn and demonstrate skills necessary for grooming through our online program.
• Ensure the safety and wellness of pets.
• Build long-term relationships with pet owners by understanding their needs and recommending suitable products and services.
• Maintain a clean and inviting grooming environment.
• Complete safety training certification.
• Assist team members during grooming downtimes.

Ideal candidates will have:

• Experience working with pets (not required).
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, bend, or stoop for extended periods.
• Capability to review videos and complete online tests.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must pass a drug screening (where applicable) and a selection test, and be at least 18 years old.
