Job summary

ICP Group in Tampa, FL is seeking a Chemical Operator/Batchmaker to support batching, weighing, sampling, and blending of ingredients per established SOPs. This role emphasizes safety, quality control, and adherence to procedures in a fast-paced plant environment.

The candidate will participate in daily activities, maintain accurate batch records, and collaborate with QC staff to ensure product quality. Forklift experience and teamwork are valued assets in our shift-driven operation.

Qualifications

• Follows safety, quality, security, and operations policies and procedures.

• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Ability to multi-task and monitor multiple processes.
• Experience reading and working with SOPs is preferred.
• Experience with chemicals or light chemical manufacturing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow daily scheduled activities as directed by supervisor.
• Batch, weigh, sample materials and blend ingredients per SOP.
• Follow SOPs, company policies and safety regulations.
• Maintain housekeeping and upkeep of the work area and equipment.
• Report problems to supervisor and ensure production demand is met.
• Assist in training new personnel on safe operation of mixing equipment.

ICP is looking to hire a Chemical Operator/Batchmaker for our Tampa, FL plant.

Shift hours: 6am to 2:30pm. We work OT and Saturdays during our peak season.

Key Responsibilities

• Follows daily scheduled activities as indicated by supervisor.
• Ability to handle chemicals in a safe manner.
• Batching/weighing/sampling material.
• Blend and weigh ingredients to the specifications of the SOP.
• Follows standard operating procedures, company policies and safety regulations.
• Assists in maintaining good housekeeping in work area and throughout the facility.
• Responsible for the daily upkeep of work area and any equipment included in it.
• Promptly reports any problems or out of the ordinary situations to supervisor.
• Maintain schedule efficiency to meet production demand.
• Maintains close communication with supervisor and QC technician during the batch process.
• Responsible for reporting and/or recording inventory movements resulting from each batch onto a batch sheet.
• Performs periodic sampling for quality control.
• Follows direction from supervisor and/or QC technician to ensure products meets qualitycontrol standards.
• May be required to assist in general labor tasks as needed and indicated by supervisor.
• May be required to assist in the training of new personnel on the safe operation of mixingequipment.
• Must have good attendance record and be on time.

Experience and Skills Requirements

• Ability to comprehend and abide by relevant policies/procedures pertinent to safety, quality, security, and operations.
• Strong Attention to detail.
• Forklift experience a plus.
• Ability to Multi-task and watch multiple processes at the same time.
• Experience reading and working with SOPs a plus.
• Have experience working with chemicals and/or light chemical manufacturing is preferred.
• Have basic math skills and be able to apply them in a work environment.
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable, and change priorities and direction as needed.
• Must have a positive attitude towards work and can work well as a member of a team.
• After receiving training, employee must be able to show understanding and competency on safety rules and regulations by written or verbal examination.
• Ability to understand and follow posted signage throughout the facility.
• Clear understanding of lock-out, tag-out procedures.
• Must be familiar with the standard operating procedure and operator manual for the safe operation of the equipment.
• Clear understanding of Hazard communication policies.

Working Conditions

• Required to have 20/20 vision or corrected 20/20.
• Must be able to hear and speak.
• Must have full range of motion to stand, walk, sit, reach, climb, stoop or kneel.
• Must be able to complete repetitive strenuous work under varying climate conditions.
• Must be able to safely lift up to 70 Lbs.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods.
• Must be able to work in a plant environment with varying levels of temperature andphysicalrequirements.

• Compensation: 19.00 - $20.00/hr. Actual pay is dependent on candidates overall skills for the role.
