Job summary

Lassonde Pappas & Co., Inc is seeking an Assistant Batcher to support the batching operations, weighing ingredients accurately and staging them for batch tanks. You will work under the Processing Supervisor to ensure correct formulation and efficient production.

This role requires forklift operation, adherence to food safety policies, and the ability to work on a production line with physical demands. Training is provided, with potential advancement within the processing team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Forklift certification required.
• Six months of manufacturing experience.
• Must be proficient in mathematics.

Responsibilities

• Follow batching schedule and adjust to add-ons.
• Stage ingredients on cook deck prior to batching.
• Determine which ingredients will be pumped, pulled, or added to batch tanks.
• Perform silo rotations and hookups; collect silo samples for testing.
• Accurately weigh or measure all ingredients to be pumped up.
• Compute volume-to-weight conversions and blend as needed.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and comply with food safety policies.
• Train to back up the Batcher position and assist as needed.
