Job summary

DrinkPAK I, LLC is seeking a Batching Technician at our Santa Clarita, CA headquarters. The role supports precise ingredient weighing, batch preparation, and adherence to GMP and food safety standards in a high-speed beverage environment.

You will collaborate with Quality, pre-weigh blends, and document lot data, with responsibilities including equipment sanitation, forklift operation, and maintaining safe, reliable production shifts.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required.
  • 1–3 years in a similar position; 1–3 years in Food/Beverage manufacturing preferred.
  • Experience in high-speed manufacturing, bottling, beverage, packaging or canning industries preferred.
  • Ability to visually inspect products and materials.
  • Forklift experience desired.
  • Strong verbal and written communication; safety mindset; cross-department collaboration.
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, stage, weigh, and mix ingredients per recipes.
  • Collaborate with Quality to adjust batches based on analytical results.
  • Pre-weigh blends and liquefy components for beverage prep.
  • Document lot numbers, quantities, and expiration dates per customer regulations.
  • Sanitize batching equipment and fillers; perform CIP and hand cleaning.
  • Operate forklift to load sugar and materials following safety procedures.
  • Adhere to GMP, Food Safety Standards, and company safety programs.
  • Maintain housekeeping and quality in warehouse areas; assist leadership as needed.
  • Complete hourly inspection sheets reflecting product quality.
  • Attend to other duties as required and maintain reliable attendance.

Position

Batching Technician

Location

DrinkPAK headquarters, Santa Clarita, California.

Shift

Day and/or night shift; 12 hours per day; 2/2/3 schedule.

Responsibilities
  • Precisely inspects, stages, weighs, and mixes ingredients according to the product recipes.
  • Collaborates with the Quality Department on the analytical results and makes modifications or adjustments to the batches when needed (e.g., Brix, Acid, pH, color).
  • Pre‑weighs blends and liquefies components for beverage preparation.
  • Accurately documents lot numbers, quantities, and expiration dates on formulas per customer regulations.
  • Performs cleaning and sanitation of batching equipment and fillers (CIPs, foaming equipment, and hand brushing).
  • Operates electric forklift to load sugar, following all safety procedures.
  • Adheres to the highest standards of company and plant safety programs, guidelines, rules, and regulations.
  • Always abides by DrinkPAK’s Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food Safety Standards.
  • Maintains general housekeeping and quality in all warehouse areas, including any additional areas assigned by leadership.
  • Accurately completes hourly inspection sheets based on overall product quality.
  • Assists in other areas as required by leadership.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma required.
  • At least 1‑3 years of experience in a similar position; 1‑3 years of experience preferred in the Food or Beverage industry or a similar manufacturing environment; 1 year of experience managing projects.
  • Experience in high‑speed manufacturing, bottling, beverage, packaging, or canning industries preferred.
  • Ability to visually inspect products and materials.
  • Forklift experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and resolve issues across multiple departments.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Safety, continuous improvement, and solutions‑driven mindset.
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred.

Working Conditions

The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs, stand 8+ hours, push and pull required. Occasionally required to work in refrigerated conditions (34°F – 36°F), as well as frozen conditions (<10°F).

Base Compensation

Hourly Range: $27 / $2.00 night shift differential.
