Job summary

fairlife, LLC in Coopersville, MI is seeking a Processing Operator to perform multiple processing duties in the dairy area, following GMPs in a safe, sanitary manner.

You will operate the Tetra Almix and batching systems, take lab samples, calculate final batches, lift 50 lb bags, monitor heat exchangers, and clean CIP/COP equipment.

A High School diploma or GED and proficiency in English are required. This non-exempt role is eligible for a bonus and a comprehensive benefits program.

  • Take lab samples and perform final batch calculations.
  • Monitor process controls and equipment variables; record data accurately.
  • Clean processing equipment including CIP/COP on a daily basis.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

job purpose

Able and available to perform all processing positions in the absence of the operator who normally performs the job. This includes Separation Operator, RO Milk Operator, Membrane Operator, Batching Operator, VTIS Operator and CIP Operator.

responsibilities

Operate the Tetra Almix and batching systems in the processing area in a safe and sanitary manner following all GMP’s. This includes recipe selection and target quantity for the batch. The batching operator will also be responsible for taking samples to the lab for testing and final batch calculation. Operator will be required to lift and dump 50 lb bags. Monitoring and maintaining process controls of heat exchangers process variables and documenting accurate recordings of process parameters while in operation. Cleaning the processing equipment which includes hand cleaning parts, clean-in-place (CIP) and clean out of place (COP) operations on a daily basis. Perform any other duties assigned by management.

  • A High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
  • Proficiencyin English: Comfortable with both written and verbal communication, including reading and writing.
  • Basic computational skills required. Simple math reasoning required.
  • Must be able to operate the equipment effectively after the appropriate break-in period.
