Essential Job Functions
  • Adhere to all health and safety policies, procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) while in the warehouse or production areas.
  • Maintain food quality and food safety standards (e.g., SQF) and comply with FDA, state/city regulations, Refresco quality policies, GMP’s, HACCP, Allergen, Kosher, and other required regulations.
  • Be trained and certified in the operations of all batching/blending equipment in your area of responsibility.
  • Ensure the quality and integrity of the product run on the lines based on specifications to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Transport required ingredients and pre‑weighs by forklift to and from required areas.
  • Verify all ingredients against SAP, food safety, food quality, and inventory control parameters before conducting syrup batching.
  • Program the bulk ingredient delivery system as required.
  • Follow instructions on batching/blending sheets, add the proper ingredients, and record amounts accurately.
  • Collect blend tank samples and send to the quality laboratory for testing; follow quality department instructions for any adjustments needed to bring product into specification.
  • Complete all required documentation for batching/blending operation and forward to QA/Blending department for review.
  • Maintain sanitation and cleaning of the area throughout the shift.
  • Perform CIP/COP sanitation of all batching/blending lines, tanks, and equipment as scheduled.
  • Remove empty barrels and bins from the batching/blending area to designated storage or trailers.
  • Receive and unload tankers of bulk concentrates as needed.
  • Report all non‑compliance, product protection, food safety, and personal safety issues to management when encountered.
Required Skills
  • Experience in a high‑speed beverage production environment is preferred.
  • Formal training in SAP, HACCP, GMP, hygiene, or similar areas is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform duties in a high‑stress/pressure environment.
  • Basic mathematical skills (measurements/formulas) and solid comprehension of production schedules and laboratory testing.
  • Effective communication skills both verbal and written (English).
  • Problem‑solving skills – quick identification and resolution of operational issues.
  • Basic computer skills for operating production software and logging data.
  • Safety and risk management participation (audits and inspections).
Education and Experience
  • High School Certification (or equivalent).
  • 1‑2 years relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Working Conditions
  • Work schedule may include weekdays, weekends, afternoons, evenings, overnight, and holidays; overtime may be scheduled as needed.
  • Fast‑paced production plant environment with moving parts, required hearing protection, and temperature‑controlled laboratory and staging areas.
Travel Requirements
  • 0% anticipated travel.
Physical Requirements
  • Occasional lifting and repetitive motions required; must be able to stand or sit, stoop, kneel, and use a forklift.
  • High hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary for precise equipment control.
