Job summary

Simmons Pet Food is seeking an Inventory Controller to support production by inspecting batch paperwork and verifying that product, ingredients and packaging meet customer specifications. You will collect data from production runs, verify variances, and maintain accurate records in spreadsheets, while ensuring compliance with company policies.

The role emphasizes collaboration with the team, adherence to operating systems, and proactive issue notification to protect quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience collecting data from production and completing paperwork
• Familiarity with quality, security and policy guidelines
• Intermediate software/ spreadsheet skills
• Preference for poultry/food processing industry experience

Responsibilities

• Collects data from production runs and completes paperwork to verify batch specs
• Checks variances in packaging, ingredients and weights and records data
• Supports compliance with product specifications and notifies team of issues
• Participates in team development, communication and policy implementation
• Attends team meetings and helps maintain cohesiveness and alignment with goals
• Adheres to Simmons operating systems and policies and suggests improvements
• Performs other duties to support business objectives
