This position will be located at the Wintergreen Ready Mix site in DeSoto, TX

Position Summary

This position reports to the Production and Delivery Coordinator and is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the batching operation, as well as assisting with the scheduling of deliveries.

Requirements

• Efficient operation of batching facilities to maintain maximum production levels
• Operate computer-controlled batching system that transfers product from storage bins through weigh bins into ready-mix trucks
• Record daily delivery statistics and maintenance activities
• Read and interpret computer orders to control mix design and set slump
• Use computer to weigh product transferred to each truck
• Monitor control boards and computer screens visually
• Inspect loading trucks to ensure proper positioning for delivery
• Print or manually write tickets to be sent via air tube system to drivers
• Inspect concrete as needed
• File copies of tickets and maintain records
• Manage material inventories and order supplies as needed
• Inspect and clean silo, weigh hoppers, and plant equipment
• Climb stairs/ladders to manually add concrete fiber packets as necessary
• Diagnose and troubleshoot process interruptions
• Follow lockout/tagout procedures during maintenance
• Assist with cleanup and training of co-workers
• Manage raw material delivery tickets and provide accurate customer and delivery information
• Report on fuel, petty cash, time cards, etc.
• Assist dispatcher with balancing driver hours to ensure compliance with D.O.T. requirements
• Maintain a safe work environment and personal safety record
• Perform other duties as required
