Ameron Pole Products, a subsidiary of Arcosa, Inc. (NYSE: ACA), is seeking a Batch Plant Operator for our location in Anniston, AL. As a Batch Plant Operator, you will operate equipment that mixes/blends materials such as cement, aggregate, and water to produce high-strength concrete used in our production process.

Ameron Pole Products specializes in pre-stressed, spun-cast concrete and round tapered steel poles serving the Commercial & Industrial, Transportation (DOT), Municipal, Intermodal & Utility markets. With over 50 years of industry experience, we leverage our expertise and capabilities to support our customers' projects.

Responsibilities:

• Follow all safety procedures, plant policies, and work instructions for the batch plant.
• Generate concrete mixes using batching equipment that conform to specifications.
• Collect and record data for concrete batches using electronic devices.
• Communicate with QC department and plant personnel regarding material variances.
• Maintain cleanliness of batching equipment and surrounding areas.
• Operate heavy equipment to load materials such as rock and sand.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance on mixing equipment and report major issues.
• Analyze and troubleshoot operating and concrete-related problems.
• Maintain proper raw material levels and reorder as needed.
• Complete all required records for review.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of experience with concrete batching technology, equipment, and methods.
• Participation in plant safety and environmental meetings.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and electronic test equipment.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment with others.
• Ability to work outdoors in various temperatures and handle chemicals such as cement, form oil, and admixes.
• Ability to obtain Batch Plant operator certifications, such as ACI certifications.
• Basic computer skills to operate batching programs and generate reports.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Reliable attendance.
