Job summary

Behr Paint Company is hiring a Batch Making Operator to blend chemicals and pigments according to detailed recipes, ensuring consistent, safe, and high-quality coatings. You will operate pumps, valves, and a compactor, perform quality checks, and document formula updates in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Team members start at $21.00 per hour with a $0.50 raise at 6 months and again at 12 months, plus a $3/hour shift differential for shifts starting after 12 PM.

To thrive in this role, you must have hands-on experience in milling pump systems and mixing raw materials. Ifyou’veever baked a cake from scratch, you knowit’snot just about tossing ingredients into a bowl;it’s abouttiming and technique.That’sexactly what this role is all about!

As our Batch Making Operator, you will be the baker for ourcoatingsoperation. Instead of flour and sugar,you’llbe blending chemicals and pigments with precision, following detailed “recipes” (formula tickets) to produce high-quality industrial coatings. Every batch you create needs to be consistent, safe, and ready to perform, just like a perfect cake that rises to the occasion.

Every day you will handle crucial production tasks like operating pumps, valves, and a compactor with precision.You’llkeep things moving safely and efficiently, perform quality checks, and uphold a clean, organized workspace. Inventory tracking and documenting formula updates is a daily routine, along with working automated systems for raw materials and milling.

Here is what we are looking for:

• A completedHigh schooleducation isrequired.

• You’reconfidentnavigating basic computer systems, and if you have worked with SAP before,that’s a definite plus.

• A dedication to safety. We arevery proudof our safety record and want you topartakein that.

• Responsibilities involve lifting individual paint cans or, at times, full casescontainingfour cans, which can weigh up to 75lbs,several times throughout the day with or without reasonable accommodation.
